Bucket Ladder Dredgers
This type of dredger is also designed for the extraction of sand and gravel from wet mining pits and comes in both a land-based and floating type.
The dredging depth of bucket ladder dredgers varies from 0 to 14 metres for the land-based models and from 6 to 24 metres for the floating models. Similar to floating clamshell dredgers, floating bucket ladder dredgers are equipped with an on board processing plant comprising a double or single deck screening machine, crusher, fine sand recovery, conveyor belt or hydraulic transportation to shore.

Clamshell Dredgers
ROHR BAGGER floating clamshell dredgers are designed to extract sand and gravel from 10 to 90 metres below water level. All dredgers are custom-built to the requirements of each deposit and the needs of every customer.
Customers can choose among various components for on-board processing, such as double or single-deck screening machines, crushers, fine sand recovery, conveyor belts or hydraulic transportation to site. Two types of hydraulic motor grabs manufactured in-house complete the package and make the dredger an efficient tool for every purpose.

Rohr Bagger GmbH
The Rohr Bagger GmbH specializes in the design and production of high-quality, electric-driven Bucket Ladder Dredgers and Clamshell Dredgers. Due to a restructuring of the company, the business operations were taken over by an investor consortium consisting of the Hermann Peter Group (Breisach), the Dreher Group (Bensheim) and the Krieger Group (Neckarsteinach) on November 1st, 2022. The company currently employs around 30 people at the Mannheim location.
“Rohr Bagger is one of the technology leaders in its industry. We look forward to leading the company into the future with the entire team in Mannheim,” explains investor Thomas Peter. The new owners want to expand the service business in the area of bucket chain dredgers and floating grabs and promote innovation in the design of new dredgers.
